Britney's back, bitch. The former teen pop icon is proving that she's still got it -- 14 years and two babies later -- by flaunting her toned tummy on the cover of the June issue of Shape magazine. In the arresting image, Spears, 31, looks trim in a crisp white Deja Soleil bikini with numerous straps and cutouts, her hair in waves and her trademark diamond belly ring prominent on the page.
An inside image of the "Scream & Shout" singer also shows her in a high-waisted black-and-white skirt and black bra top, standing hands-on-hips next to a punching bag.
The mother of two (to sons Sean, 7, and Jayden, 6, with ex Kevin Federline) caused a stir back in 1999 after the then-17-year-old exposed her belly for the now-iconic, racy cover of Rolling Stone. At the time, Spears had reintroduced the notion of naughty schoolgirls to the public consciousness with her hit "Baby One More Time" and wore increasingly skimpy costumes for her music videos.
Keeping her body in tip-top shape isn't quite so easy anymore, however.
"I like it, then again, I hate it," she tells Shape. "I'm in my 30s now, so I have to work harder to keep it up."
The X Factor judge's newly reclaimed physique comes with the help of yoga and the Nutrisystem weight loss programs, she says, as well as a more careful monitoring of her diet.
"Dieting is tough … because my specialties are spaghetti, brownies and chocolate chip cookies," she says of trying to stay trim.
In March, Spears showed off her hard work in a striped bandeau bikini while soaking up some sun at a friend's house in Malibu. "I have had to work hard at getting it back to where it used to be," she told Glamour magazine in a January 2009 interview, of getting her body back in fighting shape post-babies. "I used to be obsessed with working out. …[now], three days a week is cool, even two."
