Ashlee, 28, showed off her lean, toned body in a tiny string bikini while playing on the beach with son Bronx, 4, and a pal on Saturday, Dec. 29 in Hawaii. The mother-and-son duo held hands as they splashed around in the water together and soaked up the sun.

They were also joined by sister Jessica Simpson's BFF CaCee Cobb and her new husband, Donald Faison. Cobb, 35, and Faison, 38, tied the knot on Dec. 15 with the whole Simpson family in attendance.

Jessica, who is expecting her second child with fiance Eric Johnson, tried to hide her baby bump while serving as maid of honor in the ceremony. The Fashion Star mentor, 32, finally confirmed her pregnancy on Christmas Day by sharing a photo of daughter Maxwell, nearly 8 months, sitting on the beach with "Big Sis" written in the sand.

Johnson, 33, was photographed going for a bike ride with the Scrubs actor Saturday, but the second-time mom-to-be apparently didn't tag along.

The pair, engaged since November 2010, recently put an offer on a house in Hidden Hills, California, for their growing family. And the NFL pro is also settling into domesticity. "He is amazing with Max," a source told Us Weekly. "Eric tells Jessica he has everything he's ever wanted."

A source also told Us that Simpson "is super in love" with Johnson. "Jessica is so content right now and really into family life with Eric."

Megan Fox: "My Body Is Still Too Fragile" to Work Out After Giving Birth

Megan Fox has lost 13 of the 23 pounds she gained while pregnant with her first son, Noah, but it's not because she's been logging extra hours in the gym.

"I can't work out yet because my body is still too fragile," the 26-year-old actress told Us Weekly at the Dec. 12 Palladium Jewelry-sponsored premiere of This Is 40 in Hollywood. "I try to eat whatever I want, but I don't eat any dairy, and I guess that's the biggest diet tip. Try and stay away from dairy -- especially if you're a woman! It's really hard on your hormones."

Though she's only been a mom since Sept. 27, Fox -- also stepmom to husband Brian Austin Green's son Kassius, 10 -- told Us she's eager to expand her brood. "I want a big family," she revealed. "I definitely want to have a couple more kids."

As for her little guy, the actress cooed that he's "getting really chubby!"

"He's super healthy and funny and he's very bossy already," Fox told Us. "He's got a very strong personality, so I'm really in for it!"

Green, 39, is "an amazing dad," the star added. "He does anything that I can't do at the moment because I'm too tired. Whatever's going on, he does. He's with the baby right now. He's the perfect daddy."

This Is 40, which also stars Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann, is in theaters now.

Anne Hathaway: Les Miserables Director Tom Hooper Discouraged Me From Losing Weight

Anne Hathaway was under a lot of pressure to lose weight for her role as a disease-ridden prostitute in director Tom Hooper's film adaptation of the epic Broadway musical Les Miserables -- but not from Hooper himself, or from anyone else on the production side of the movie.

In a new interview with the Los Angeles Times, the 29-year-old Golden Globe nominee admits that her drastic make-under -- which involved nearly starving herself to drop 25 pounds from her already-slim frame -- was an obsession of her own making, not her director's. In fact, he attempted to talk her out of it.

"To be honest, I thought she was going further than she should, and I tried to discourage her," Hooper tells the newspaper of Hathaway's severe weight loss.

"Tom didn't like what I was doing, but he understood why I was doing it," the actress counters. "No one liked what I was doing. By the end, people were hugging me, and they would get emotional because I felt so frail."

Still, the star insists she has no regrets about pushing herself to the brink, especially if it nudges her career forward. (Some say she's already a lock for an Oscar nomination, though she claims her performance of "I Dreamed a Dream" is just "eh.")

"I see the sort of work that people like Meryl Streep and Cate Blanchett and Kate Winslet can do, and I want to do that level of work so badly," she tells the L.A. Times of those Oscar winners. "But I don't believe I'm as gifted as them. So the only thing I can control is how hard I work at it -- how much do I commit to it? How far will I take it?"

Jessica Simpson appears on the January/February 2013 issue of Weight Watchers magazine. Wearing a star print top and black pants, the singer proudly shows off her 50-pound weight loss after the May 1 arrival of her first child, daughter Maxwell. (Simpson wore the same outfit during a Macy's appearance in Costa Mesa, Calif., Nov. 10.)

In the accompanying interview, the Texas native, 32, reveals how she stayed fit while taping the second season of NBC's Fashion Star. "I'm crazy about smoothies, so I bring fruit chopped up and ready to go. That way, I can sip the same smoothie all morning long between takes," Simpson shares. "If it thins out, I put it back in the blender with crushed ice for a few minutes."

As Us Weekly exclusively reported in its Dec. 10 issue, Simpson is currently pregnant with her second child. (Eric Johnson's fiancee of two years waited until Christmas to share the news with fans via Twitter.)

The once-wed star addressed her baby news in a just-released commercial for Weight Watchers. "This year is all about new beginnings for me," Simpson says in the ad. "I lost over 50 pounds on Weight Watchers and did not have to be perfect to do it. Being healthy has become a part of who I am -- which is great timing, because I'm having another baby."

(A rep for Weight Watchers tells ABC News Simpson "will not be following the program during the pregnancy while her weight and well-being are monitored by her obstetrician, as is recommended for any woman during pregnancy. After she gives birth, Jessica and her doctor will decide when she may resume following the Weight Watchers program.")

Ora's picturesque getaway couldn't have come at a better time. Earlier this month, the Brit found herself the subject of cheating rumors when her ex-boyfriend Rob Kardashian went on a Twitter rant about an unidentified woman -- widely assumed to be Ora -- who cheated on him with "nearly 20 dudes."

"Merry Christmas to all!" Peter II tweeted Dec. 25. "I hope you had a wonderful holiday and were sober enough to enjoy it."

While vacationing with her family in St. Barts in early 2011, Seymour raised eyebrows when she was photographed in a warm embrace with her son Peter II, then 17.

"I've gone through a lot in the past two years, and I gained a lot of weight, and it really upset me. So I spent two days indoors, and when I came out and finally decided to just go outside, my son was so happy to see me," Seymour explained on The Oprah Winfrey Show. "He was wooing me and gave me a big hug and a kiss, and we had no idea that that one second would be turned into something that could ever be thought of as [inappropriate]. He's my baby. He's a gorgeous young man, but he's my baby."

Seymour's son, who is also a model, addressed the controversy via Facebook.  "That day on the beach we walked around with each other completely aware of the presence of photographers there. We have nothing to hide and with that in mind I would like to say that I am openly gay," he wrote. To maintain that flawless The former Playmate of the Year and mother to son Evan, 10, is admirably committed -- working out five days a week. McCarthy's go-to moves? "Lunges, sit ups and pushups -- because I'm kind of working my whole body," McCarthy explains to Shape in a behind-the-scenes video. "Planking is still an awesome exercise for the core and your arms."

The Singled Out host (who split with Chicago Beas linebacker Brian Urlacher in August) also has her own super-food: Watermelon.

"It helps you if you retain water," she explained of the "Natural diuretic . . . It's really filling and yummy."

In an outtake from the "Expect Amazing" campaign (which begins airing Dec. 25), the famous blonde looks radiant and slim in tight jeans, boots, low-cut blank tank top and plaid shirt. "Weight Watchers changed my relationship with food, and I feel so much more prepared to make the right choices," says the spokeswoman. "It feels pretty incredible.”

Of course, the star (who dropped the weight by sticking to her Weight Watchers points and four trainer sessions a week) is set to undergo another transformation: As reported exclusively by Us Weekly, Simpson is now pregnant with her second child.

"Jessica loves being a mom," an insider told Us. "She really is overjoyed."

(Simpson's rep had no comment regarding the second pregnancy.)

Skinny Kate Bosworth Shows Off Thin Legs in Tight Jeans on Outing With Fiance Michael Polish

Kate Bosworth is going to be one very skinny bride.

The naturally slim 29-year-old looked tinier than ever when she stepped out with fiance Michael Polish on Monday, Dec. 17. To play a lawyer in the forthcoming comedy flick Starbuck, the 33-year-old actor was asked to put on a significant amount of weight. (The film centers around Vince Vaughn, whose character learns he's fathered 533 children through sperm donations.)

"I gained 60 pounds in about four and a half months. I just did it the old fashioned way: eating and drinking my face off," Pratt shared on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno Dec. 10. "I've lost a little bit of it, but it was hard. It was probably just as hard as losing weight. You wouldn't believe it, but it is. It's these same principle: It's all about pain."

Pratt continued to pack on the pounds while shooting season 5 of NBC's Parks and Recreation. "Our props department claimed that I ate 81 scoops of ice cream. It was really messed up," he laughed. "It's hard to have delicious ice cream around you and not eat it. When you're waiting around for everyone to get the scene set up, you're still eating ice cream."

"I've eaten weird things through the course of my life," added Pratt, who grew up in Lake Stevens, Washington. "I've eaten wild game, I've eaten possum -- possum's no good."

The actor also chatted about his new movie, Zero Dark Thirty, in which he plays a Navy SEAL who is tasked with capturing or killing Osama bin Laden.

"I got in good shape for that movie. I was able to go with [costar Joel Edgerton] to the BUD/s training facility in Coronado and got to meet real SEAL team guys," said Pratt, who welcomed firstborn son Jack (with wife Anna Faris) in late August. "I was very nervous to meet these guys because I didn't know how they were going to be. They're the kind of strong that they don't have to tell you or prove to you that they're strong. You know!"

Pratt even participated in some training drills. "They knew that I'm not the physical specimen that they are, and they were humble and kind about it," he recalled.

The actor filmed most of his scenes in the Middle East. "There have been terrorist attacks in Jordan . . . I didn't know a whole lot about where I was going, so I was nervous. But they're an ally to the U.S. and they treated us really well. . . Other than security measures at the hotel and metal detectors everywhere, it felt pretty safe."

Padma Lakshmi is in her sixth year as host of Bravo's competitive cooking show Top Chef, but she looks like she could be a contestant on another long-running reality series.

On Saturday, Dec. 8, the 42-year-old star hit the beach in Miami, where she revealed her runway-ready bikini body. Frolicking playfully in the Atlantic Ocean, the former model and single mother to Krishna Thea, 2, flaunted her toned physique in a blue fringed bandeau top and matching side-tie bottoms.

Having modeled since she was 18, the India-born brunette beauty isn't shy about showing off her curves. In 2009, she posed nude for Allure magazine, and just last month she stripped down to nearly nothing for a feature in Playboy. But that fit figure doesn't come easy -- especially since a big part of her job on Top Chef is eating anything and everything the contestants plate for her.

"My digestive tract is ironclad and can really take a beating," the host told Playboy of the rich foods she samples for the show.

"Having been a model for 15 years, I...know a thing or two about how to dress if I've put on a few pounds," she added. "And I usually gain between 10 and 15 pounds over six weeks each season. Then I spend 12 weeks working it off."

Despite her sensational appearance on Friday, Fox told the UK's Daily Mirror that she's not focusing on honing her post-baby body.

"I only gained 23 pounds when I was pregnant and I'm still 10 pounds heavier, but I don't want to kill myself trying to get back into shape because it's not a priority right now," she explained. "I'm too in love with Noah and I don't want to be away from him. I just want to be home."

Fox also told the paper that her days as a worldwide sex symbol may be over. "It changes your perspective about being overly sexual in a film when you have a baby. I'm going to be more cautious about choosing films because I'm already thinking about when he's in school and his friends are going to be showing him my photo shoots with me in a bikini and he's going to be horrified . . . So that will deter me from making some of the choices I made before."

Reese Witherspoon looked radiant in her second red carpet appearance since welcoming son Tennessee James Sept. 27.

At the Children's Defense Fund-California's 22nd Annual "Beat the Odds" Awards in Beverly Hills Dec. 6, the new mom, 37, showed off her svelte post-baby body in an Elie Saab black, sleeveless cocktail dress that featured sheer lace and pleat details. Witherspoon stood tall in black Christian Louboutin heels.

The Devil's Knot star was accompanied by her 13-year-old daughter, Ava Phillippe, and 64-year-old mother, Betty Witherspoon. "Ava was perfectly behaved and looked very serious and intent while listening to the stories of children who had dealt with misfortune," an attendee tells Us Weekly.

Witherspoon recently shared a meal with sitcom star Mindy Kaling at Tavern Restaurant in L.A.'s Brentwood neighborhood. Though Kaling, 33, won't say if the lunch date was a business meeting, she did tell E! News that she would love if the Academy Award winner guest starred on FOX's The Mindy Project.

So, how did she slim down after baby?

Duff teamed up with Johns, an Los Angeles-based personal trainer and boxing instructor, two and a half months ago. "Hilary and Gabe have been doing everything from boxing to two-a-day workouts incorporating wind sprints and jump roping in an effort to finally shed the baby weight," a rep for Johns tells Us Weekly. "Hilary's been steadily dropping pounds each week."

On Oct. 31, Duff tweeted, "My legs are so sore it's hard to get these walking sticks up the stairs! I hope your happy, Gabe Johns."

In addition to her workouts, the actress has been following the Fresh Mommy diet plan by Freshology.

The plan is suggested for nursing mothers to ensure proper milk production and uses all-natural proteins. It includes breakfast, fresh fruit, lunch, 3 snacks, dinner and 1 dessert for a total of 2,200 to 2,400 calories per day in a 60-day menu for $59.95 per day.

Anne Hathaway on Dramatic Les Miserables Weight Loss: I Didn't Eat for 13 Days

Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman see nothing wrong with suffering for their art.

In the Dec. 14 issue of The Hollywood Reporter, Hathaway, 30, opens up about how she lost 10 pounds before Les Miserables shooting began -- and then, during a two-week break from filming, dropped another 15 pounds to play a dying, TB-afflicted prostitute named Fantine.

"I just had to stop eating," the newlywed explains, "all for a total of 13 days' shooting."

Similarly, Jackman, 44, was asked to drop 15 pounds to play a gaunt convict. As shooting progressed --- and his character, Jean Valjean, became more successful -- he added 30 more. "I was eating anything I could," the Aussie remembers. "If ever there are any outtakes, there's a lot of me burping."

According to Jackman, the 68-day shoot -- which features live vocals -- "was a harrowing emotional experience, but in the end, it was worth it."

In the Hollywood Reporter cover story, Hathaway also reveals she wasn't necessarily the producers' first choice for the role of Fantine. (The actress' mother played the part in the original U.S. road show in the 1980s.)

"There was resistance because I was between their ideal ages for the parts -- maybe not mature enough for Fantine but past the point where I could believably play Cosette [Fantine's daughter, played by Amanda Seyfried]," she says. "And I did what I do when I really want a role: I got fiery and told my agent, 'Just get me in the room.'"

She adds, "Then I sat on pins and needles for a month; when my audio was played for the higher-ups, they responded."

The film -- which also stars Russell Crowe, Helena Bonham Carter, Eddie Redmayne, Samantha Barks and Sacha Baron Cohen -- is in theaters Dec. 25.

Pregnant Jessica Simpson's Weight Watchers Deal Is in Jeopardy!

Jessica Simpson has lost points with Weight Watchers.

In the Dec. 17 issue of Us Weekly (on stands Friday), a source says execs are livid that their new spokeswoman, 32, got pregnant just seven months after welcoming daughter Maxwell. "They're furious at Jessica," says the source of the star, who has a $4 million deal to shed to the pounds.

The source adds, "She was already on thin ice with them since she didn't lose enough for a the first ad, when they had to shoot from the waist up."

As a result, Simpson's second campaign -- celebrating a 70-pound loss -- may not air. "They don't think it can run," the source explains. "No one wants to hear about a pregnant woman dieting." (A Simpson pal counters that the ads will see the light of day: "It was Weight Watchers' idea to shoot her from the waist up the first time.")

Marissa Jaret Winokur: How I Lost 60 Pounds!

Sixty pounds and counting!

When Retired at 35 star Marissa Jaret Winokur headed into the doctor's exam room in March, she was faced with a tough decision: Go on medication to treat her high cholesterol, or shed weight. The 4-foot-11 Hairspray vet, who beat cancer at age 27, made the decision to diet -- but kept her expectations low.

"I thought I'd try to lose 20 pounds and see what happened," she tells Us Weekly's Ingrid Meilan. Seven months later, Winokur has dropped a whopping 60 pounds -- and seven dress sizes thanks to a revamped diet and workout plan. "It was the little steps. I think it worked because I was genuinely doing it for myself," the 39-year-old mother of 4-year-old Zev (with writer-producer husband Judah Miller) says.

To whittle her middle, Winokur used the tried-and-true calories in, calories burned formula -- and tracked her food intake using an app called My Fitness Pal. Among her healthy 1,200 calorie-a-day eats: Salads, 100-calorie bags of popcorn, egg whites and turkey-apple sausages.

Once she added in thrice-weekly sweat sessions with L.A. personal trainer Keith Anthony, Winokur quickly saw results. "My cholesterol went from 220 to 149," says the actress. "I was crying like a Biggest Loser contestant when my doctor gave me the news."

Intending to drop "maybe five pounds more, just for vanity," Winokur has also reaped non-medical benefits as a result of her slimdown. "At Bloomingdale's recently, the sales guy brought me a size 2 dress," Winokur recalls. "He eyeballed me and thought I'd fit in that!"
